Following Guidelines from the General Data Protection Regulations, our policy is laid out below in simple terms for reference.
Our Customers
Digital Solutions has multiple styles of clients. Customers can range from private individuals who just want a simple website for their start-up business, through to large corporates who wish to market and sell their products on-line.
Your Data
Data is only collected during the initial contact and used only for communication related to the work we are carrying out for you. We DO NOT share your data with any other organisation or individual.
When paying for your product
We will take payment by cash, cheque or BACS payment. Your financial details are not stored in any form of retrieval system once payments have been cleared.
When a purchaser buys through a company Purchase Order procedure, we supply an Invoice containing our bank details for the customer to pay from their bank into our bank through the BACS system. We are not party to our customer’s bank or account detail, only the information contained within their Purchase Order. If a customer pays by cheque (so far, twice in the past 25 years), their cheque is paid directly into our bank and only delivery and product details are stored.
Data Storage
The only customer information we store is in database format, and contains customer name, delivery address, product bought, price paid and Invoice/Delivery Note copies. The exception to this is for overseas sales where statutory information is required (eg. Certificate of Compliance, Certificate of Origin, shipping details etc.). Our data is secure and only accessible by one person. It is password protected and the computer system is in a secure, alarmed and surveillance camera protected environment.
